MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police arrested a driver Monday night after a standoff in a Northfield intersection.

The standoff happened on Heritage Drive and Jefferson Road, starting around 8 p.m. and lasting about an hour.

About 20 officers surrounded a vehicle, many with weapons drawn.

The driver was eventually arrested.

It’s not clear how the standoff started.
