Owning A Dog Could Help You Live Longer, Study Finds
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — A new study showed that owning a dog could add years to your life.
Scientists at the University of Toronto have looked at data from four million people in six countries and found that dog owners had a lower risk of dying early.
For 24% of those who had already suffered from a heart attack, the risk of dying was lowered by 31%.
A major factor could be that pet owners who walk their dogs got up to 30 minutes of exercise a day.
