Chesapeake, Va. Has Banned Teens From Trick-Or-Treating For Decades

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- How old is too old to go trick-or-treating? A city in Virginia has banned anyone over 14 from going out door-to-door on Halloween.

The rule in Chesapeake goes back decades, after a violent Halloween night in 1968.

If you get caught, the fine is $250.

They actually eased up a bit after the age limit went viral last year; the previous age limit was 12 and offenders were threatened with jail time. Police have never really enforced it.
