Patrol: Wisconsin Semi Driver Killed After Crashing Into Power Pole In Fergus Falls

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Wisconsin semi driver died Thursday night in northern Minnesota after crashing into a power pole.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash happened shortly after 10 p.m. on West Lincoln Avenue, near the intersection of North Tower Road in Fergus Falls.

Killed was 62-year-old Samuel Hoffhein, of Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Troopers say he may have suffered a medical emergency prior to the crash.

Hoffhein was not wearing a seat belt.
