Minneapolis To Consider Single-Use Bag Fee
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- An extra charge for using a paper or plastic bag could be coming to Minneapolis.
The Minneapolis City Council is considering an ordinance that would add a five-cent charge to one-time-use bags.
It would affect both paper and plastic bags at grocery stores and other retailers.
The council is holding a public hearing at Minneapolis City Hall at 1:30 p.m. Monday.
Minnesota prohibited cities from banning plastic bags in 2017.
