Minneapolis Police: Semi Truck Crash Leads To Hazmat Situation
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A semi-truck crash in southeast Minneapolis Monday evening turned into a hazardous materials situation, according to police.
It happened on Elm Street in an industrial area near the Como and Dinkytown neighborhoods.
It was first reported as a property damage crash, but it is not clear what the truck struck.
The crash caused about 10 gallons of gasoline to leak out, necessitating crews to block off storm drains nearby.
