Man Found Shot To Death Inside South Minneapolis Apartment Building

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minneapolis police are investigating the city's 45th homicide of the year.

Officers were called Sunday night to the 2000 block of Portland Avenue at about 8:30 p.m. after the department's ShotSpotter system was activated.

A man in his 40s, identified as Troy Brant, was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound inside an apartment building. Police say there are no suspects as of late Sunday night, nor is there an apparent motive. The department's crime lab is processing the scene, and officers are canvassing the area for possible witnesses.
