Squirrel Blamed For Benton County Power Outage
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A pesky rodent is being blamed for a power outage Tuesday afternoon that impacted many Benton County residents, according to the sheriff's office.
East Central Energy says a squirrel caused the outage sometime in the 3 p.m. hour, though it is not clear how the outage actually occurred.
The sheriff's office says power was expected to return within an hour of the outage's start.
