Survey: Average Rate For Babysitting 1 Child Is $17.73 An Hour

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A good babysitter can be difficult to find. Now, a new survey shows how much one can make.

Booking service UrbanSitter says the national average for one hour of babysitting for one child is $17.73.

That goes up to about $20 to $30 per hour for two kids.

It's way cheaper for babysitting in the Twin Cities: the average here for one child is $14; for two it's about a $1 an hour more.
