MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Some local health officials in Wisconsin rescinded their stay-at-home orders Friday after attorneys warned they could be vulnerable to legal challenges after the state Supreme Court wiped out Gov. Tony Evers' statewide order.

Here are the latest updates in the COVID-19 pandemic:

  • 10:48 p.m.: Minnesota House approves COVID-19 public safety solutions, requirement to test and store rape kits.
  • 9:00 p.m.: Wisconsin's COVID-19 cases number updated: 12,187 positive tests, 2,018 hospitalizations, 453 deaths.
  • 8:16 p.m.: Totino-Grace students featured in televised "Graduate Together" special.
  • 7:27 p.m.: Prairie's Edge Casino Resort in Granite Falls announced it will be reopening on Monday, May 18.
  • 6:24 p.m.: The Minnesota House approved a new bill to help Minnesotans further adapt to the challenges of COVID-19. These measures provide additional safety to students, an expansion of driver's license expiration, and new reporting requirements to account for the state's share of federal CARES Act allocation.
  • 6:21 p.m.: VIVO Kitchen in Apple Valley announced today it will be closing its doors permanently on Sunday, May 24.
  • 4:50 p.m.: Morrissey Hospitality "permanently eliminates" union positions at St. Paul Hotel and St. Paul Grill.
  • 4:50 p.m.: Morrissey Hospitality announced that Pazzaluna Urban Italian Restaurant and Bar will close as of May 31.
  • 1 p.m.: The Chicago Sun Times is reporting that Cook County, Illinois has the highest number of positive coronavirus cases in a county in the United States.
  • Noon: After closing because of the coronavirus pandemic, the Bonfire Restaurant chain says it will not reopen.
  • 11 a.m.: The Minnesota Department of Health reports that another 8,612 COVID-19 tests have been completed in the past day, confirming another 740 cases of the disease in Minnesota, or about 8.6% of those tests.
  • 7 a.m.: The United States House of Representatives passed a $3 trillion relief package.
