Minneapolis Firefighters Rescue Woman After 2-Story Fall In Freun Mill
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A woman was rescued by Minneapolis firefighters Thursday evening after suffering multiple fractures from falling in the Freun Mill complex in north Minneapolis.
Fire officials say crews responded at about 5:20 p.m. to a technical rescue at the old mill near 3rd Avenue and Thomas Avenue North.
The woman fell about 15 to 20 feet, but her injuries are described as non-life threatening. Two other people were with her at the time of the incident.
Freun Mill has been the site of several injurious falls in the past 20 years, including a fatal fall in 2006. The last incident happened in June of 2016, when a man survived a 40-foot fall in the complex while engaging in urban exploring.
