Search For Missing Swimmer In Maplewood Pond To Continue Wednesday
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Divers spent hours Tuesday searching a Maplewood pond for a missing swimmer.
City officials say the man, who is believed to be in his 40s, went into the pond behind the Ramsey County Library on the 1700 block of Beam Avenue Tuesday morning.
Witnesses heard him struggling, and did not see him resurface.
The Ramsey County Sheriff's office says the search was called off at about 5 p.m., and divers will begin again Wednesday.
