Big Lake Homicide: 20-Year-Old Man Arrested In Connection To His Mom's Death
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A death investigation is underway in Big Lake after a disturbing 911 call.
Officers went to a home on Golf Street Thursday morning near Lake Mitchell, where they found a deceased woman.
The Big Lake Police Department and the Sherburne County Sheriff's office had received a phone call where the caller stated his adult son had just killed his own mother.
Officers arrested a 20-year-old man at the scene without incident.
Jean Davis lives nearby, and has resided in the area for 45 years.
"It's unheard of. We just don't see this around here much," Davis said. "I haven't seen police tape unless it's, you know, a fire or something."
The name of the victim has not been released yet by the sheriff's office, which is leading the investigation. More details are expected to be released Friday.
