“Out of an abundance of caution and for the safety of those nearby, officers evacuated nearby units in the apartment building and requested that those in the immediate area shelter in place,” city officials said in a statement.

At 1:44 p.m., officers made peaceful contact with those inside and gained entry to the residence. Four individuals left the apartment without incident and no charges have been filed.
