MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Authorities say a man drowned in a lake in Burnsville Saturday night after saving his girlfriend from the water.
The Dakota County Sheriff’s Office said its dive team recovered the body of 36-year-old Matthew Brust from Crystal Lake around 11:25 p.m.
Brust and his girlfriend were boating Saturday evening when she fell in and he jumped in to help her, the sheriff’s office said. She managed to return to the boat, but he was unable to do so.
