MINNEAPOLS (WCCO) — Two police officers in Grand Rapids helped free an ensnared deer last week, but it wasn’t a hunter’s trap that caught the animal.
Instead, the buck snagged its antlers in a hammock. The apparently frightened animal struggled to free itself before the officers stepped in, cutting the hammock to release the antlers.
As of Thursday evening, video of the rescue has about 426,000 views on the police department’s Facebook page.
