Crews Battle Flames At Minneapolis Homeless Encampment

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - Crews battled a fire at a homeless encampment in Minneapolis early Friday morning.

The Minneapolis Fire Department arrived at the 800 block of 5th Street North shortly after 3 a.m.

There, they found two large tents on fire. There were multiple propane tanks in the debris that were on fire, according to the department.

The person who reported the incident said they heard an "explosion" before the fire crews arrived.

No one was injured.
