Watching a sports game play out before your eyes just isn't the same without something to snack on. And if the game is epic, then the snack has to be, too.

And, lately, stadiums and ballparks across the country have been taking that to heart, with menu items that are experiences in and of themselves. Some of these creations are sinply beyond the pale – edible inventions just not fit for restaurants, but somehow perfect for arenas full of cheering (or despairing) fans.

Below are five items that can both raise eyebrows and get stomachs rumbling.

The Horse Collar

If you run out of cheese curds at Lambeau Field, you can grab hold of this sausage monstrosity. It's a 22-inch kielbasa stuffed inside a horseshoe-shaped hoagie, topped with fried sauerkraut and drizzled with beer cheese sauce. How much will it set you back? $20.

The Murph-A-Dilla

A bed of Doritos -- yes, a bed of Doritos -- supports this 2-foot-long beef brisket quesadilla. You can find this $26 beast (named after outfielder David Murphy) at the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, Texas.

Pulled Pork Parfait

This $7 item, also known as the Porkfait, is one you can follow on Twitter. It's a parfait composed of alternating layers of mashed potatoes and pulled pork, topped with chives. You eat it by the spoonful, like an ice cream sundae. For those counting calories at Milwaukee's Miller Park, you'll probably want to stick to one of those regular, run-of-the-mill yogurt parfaits.

Baseball's Best Burger

Is this baseball's best burger? Hard to say, really. What is known is that this arrogant burger has two slices of bacon and sharp cheddar cheese slammed between a sliced-up and toasted Krispy Kreme donut. Where can you try it? GCS Ballpark in Illinois. And the price is almost unbelievable: $5.

The StrasBurger

Imagine a birthday cake that's a cheeseburger – that's the StrasBurger. It's an 8-pound behemoth that's served with a bunch of fries. If you ate it in one sitting, it'd probably kill you, as it's meant for eight people. You can find this Goliath at Nationals Park, for just under $60.
