Free yourself, or at least reprieve yourself, from the rut of the daily grind with a ladies night out. After mobilizing your gal pals, be sure to dress your best. Don’t hesitate to try a bar or club that’s a departure from the ordinary or away from the usual. Twin Cities has many bars and clubs that appeal to women. The lovely and lively ambiance is hard to resist, even if it means anteing up once in a while.
Vieux Carré
408 St Peter St.
St Paul, MN 55102
(651) 291-2715

In a speakeasy atmosphere with new and old New Orleans inspiration, Vieux Carré is where the good times roll. It’s a great place to hang out during a ladies night out. Vieux Carré has zesty cabaret, New Orleans jazz, and a whirlwind of Minnesota talent across all music genres. If you’ve never been to New Orleans, here’s the chance to savor outrageously fabulous New Orleans creole cuisine. Gumbo with pheasant and quail, fried catfish po’ boy, king crab legs, glazed short ribs and marinated apricots stimulate rib-sticking soul satisfaction. The craft cocktails are a work of art and specialty cocktails can be crafted on request. The cabaret music club is best for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries or other special occasions. Patrons must be at least age 21.

Dakota Jazz Club & Restaurant
1010 Nicollet Ave.
Minneapolis, MN 55403

To say “Dakota cooks” is an understatement. It’s one of those Twin Cities hotspots that gets raves for music and entertainment. Every evening, the club has a new show. Many Grammy winning jazz artists and American song masters amp it up on the mic. The music itself is as varied as the food. The Midwestern comfort food dinner menu has dashes of New Orleans influence. The bar menu has a crafty selection of non-alcoholic craft libations in addition to craft cocktail classics.  Whether you’re a lady stepping out with friends, or a friend treating the ladies to an evening on the town, the food and music are worth the memories. Tickets must be purchased to attend music events. Dakota Jazz Club is the owner of New Orleans cabaret Vieux Carré. So ladies, you have a choice between the two! But you must be at least 21 years old.
