Best Pop Dance Clubs In Minnesota

Some people like to spend their nights with a nice glass of chardonnay and a television show. And some nights, that's okay. But after a stressful day, or week, there's often no better remedy than dressing to the nines and hitting the hottest club on the stretch. Or maybe it's a birthday, bachelorette party or reunion of old friends that is getting you to the dance floor. Or maybe it's just Saturday night and that's reason enough. On the nights that you want, or need, to leave everything else behind and dance, here are the clubs that have you covered.

Dinkytown is one of those neighborhoods that becomes less appealing for nightlife the further you get from the college age. There are plenty of places to drink, each one spilling over with college kids from all walks of life. But for a good dance night, the Kitty Kat Klub is much more than just another place close to campus in which to imbibe. Dance nights almost every night play some of the best booty-shaking hits and you'll never wait for good company on the dance floor.

Record Room at First Avenue
701 1st. Av. N.
Minneapolis, MN 55403
(612) 332-1775
www.first-avenue.com

While the mainroom at the godfather of Minneapolis nightclubs has strayed from dance nights, the Record Room upstairs has been dedicated to them. The Record Room is where you want to go now to throw your hands in the air, after setting down your drink of course, and dance the night away for various parties throughout the week. While some local or national acts rock the main stage downstairs, you'll be lost in your own world of groove, oblivious to anything else going on in the building. And that's how a good dance night should be.
