What better way to welcome spring than with beautiful flowers and stunning art? The Minneapolis Institute of the Arts holds their 29th annual Art in Bloom event, a four-day festival of floral arrangement and fine art, showcasing the talents of more than 150 floral artists. Throughout the museum, visitors will be able to view floral arrangements next to the works of art that served as their inspiration. This year, designers Rene van Rems and Jane Godshalk will hold floral demonstrations.

The Walker Art Center will be the main hub as creative coders, data visualization professionals, artists and designers converge at the Eyeo Festival for four days of presentations, talks and labs sessions on art, interaction and information. Workshop topics include JavaScript Tools for HTML5 Artists, Drawing and Code, Intermediate openFrameworks, and more. And don't think it's all work and no play at Eyeo. There are mixers and a party "Eyeo style." And while you're at the Walker, why not check out the exhibitions, cafe and the shop?
