There is such a diverse collection of things to see and do that many visitors fall in love with the area continue to come back year after year. Anaheim is home to high-class shopping centers, world-famous theme parks and plenty of activities that offer endless adventures for both residents and visitors.

Even if you are not a Mickey Mouse fanatic, a visit here offers travelers excitement, amazing cuisine options and lots of family-friendly entertainment. While at Disneyland visitors can explore the two theme parks — Disneyland Park and Disney’s California Adventure Park — during the day. Then in the evening they can wander through the Downtown Disney District where they can shop, eat and have more Disney fun.

In addition to the many must-see attractions located throughout Anaheim, there are some activities that every visitor must experience at least once. First thing’s first. Everyone who visits sunny Southern California needs to take time out of their busy vacation schedule to dip their toes in the Pacific Ocean and play in the sands at the beach. After that’s done, visitors will have fun exploring the many shopping centers, relaxing at the spa, taking some hacks at world-class golf courses or catching a professional sports game. If time allows, make sure to head on out to SeaWorld in San Diego. This park offers families the opportunity to see animals up close, ride some exciting attractions and be entertained with shows. This is definitely a must-see that everyone visiting the area should try to get on their vacation to-do list.

Another must-see attraction while in Anaheim is Angel Stadium. Here baseball fans can get a tour of the “The Big A,” where they will get an up close look at the dugout, press box and visitors’ clubhouse. If it’s baseball season, make sure to stay and catch a game before heading back home.

Those wanting the thrill and excitement of the movies combined with rides, shows, dining and shops will want to add Universal Studios to their vacation list. This theme park is sure to have something for everyone in the family to do and will definitely create unique vacation memories.

Orange County not only offers an amazing place to kick back and relax, it is also home to many annual festivals. Some travelers even plan their vacations around some of these fun and exciting festivals. Top annual festivals in Anaheim include the Laguna Beach Music Festival (February), Festival of Whales (March), Strawberry Festival (May), Orange International Street Fair (September) and Sawdust Festival Winter Fantasy (November-December). Anaheim is also where WonderCon is hosted, which is a must-experience event for comic book fans.

It may seem an obvious choice, but there is a reason so  many people flock to Southern California for vacation year after year. Visitors will be able to go explore popular theme parks or spend a relaxing day at the beach, followed by a nice dinner overlooking the water. No matter what your vacation plans may include, you are sure to find something for everyone in the family to enjoy in Southern California.
