Q: Hi Cindy! Welcome to Defend Your Ride Minnesota. Let's get started. Where do you live and when did you buy your Lexus?
A: Rosemount, Minnesota. February of 2010.
Q: Excellent. Did you purchase it from a dealership close by?
A: Lexus of Maplewood. I compared everything in the entire city, drove every make, every model. This one was most comfortable and the most value for our money, most features.
Q: What is your car's primary use?
A: I do a lot of traveling, up to Duluth and just around town. Takes me around an hour to get to most of my destinations.
Q: That's a good amount of time. What's your favorite feature?
A: The comfort and the way it handles.
Q: Least favorite feature?
A: I don't have a least favorite part! In fact, I still catch myself giggling when I drive it because I like it so much.
Q: That's excellent. What about music? What do you like to listen to in your Lexus?
A: I listen to whatever is on the USB cable and listen to every CD known to man that my husband has uploaded into the car.
Q: That must be ideal for road trips.
A: The furthest I've gone is up on the South Shore of Lake Superior. It was lovely.
Q: Do you have any rules?
A: Well, I can't say no to my grandkids, but no hairy pets. I have my grandkids a lot. But other times it's mostly just me.
Q: What would you say is your car's personality?
A: It would be very fun loving, and happy.
Q: Do you have a nickname for your car?
A: We call my husband's car The X. Mine is The Y.
Q: What is your favorite memory that you've had in your car?
A: The first time I drove it in the dark, the headlights when I came around a corner individually moved. When I went down a hill the headlights adjusted and the same thing when I went up a hill. If I'm parked when people walk in front or in back of me, it beeps and shows up on my camera. It does everything but drive itself.
Q: Thank you for talking with us today. You seem very happy with your car and your purchase. Even so, do you have a dream car, if money were no object?
A: I'm really a cheap date, I'm just very happy with what I have.
