Jerabek’s Pecan Pie

Place 1 cup pecans in bottom of an unbaked pie shell.

Separately, bring the following to a slight boil over medium heat, stirring constantly to avoid burning on the bottom.

4 egg yolks

1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

2/3 cup corn syrup

1/2 cup salted butter

splash vanilla

1 cup brown sugar

Pour mixture over pecans and bake for 40-45 minutes at 375 degrees.

For a special variation, spread melted chocolate on the bottome of the pie shell before adding pecans and filling.
