MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — An estimated 106 million people will shop online Monday in what has become known as Cyber Monday.
NewsRadio 830 WCCO’s Bruce Hagevik Reports:
“Oh, the convenience of it,” said Carrie Rocha, who is the founder of PocketYourDollars.com, which is based in Maple Grove, Minn.
Rocha said shoppers can make price comparisons and do product reviews at home before making a purchase.
And for those concerned about online security, Rocha has some tips.
“You’ll want to see a little lock icon or image in the bottom corner of your computer screen,” she said.
Rocha also recommends checking the website address, which should have an “s” after “http.” She said that ensures you are on a secure site.
Cyber Monday has become so popular some retailers, including Walmart, are promoting cyber week.
