Sterger Rep Says No Lawsuit If NFL Punishes Favre

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — A spokesman for the former New York Jets game hostess who allegedly received inappropriate photos and phone messages from Brett Favre says she won’t sue the Vikings quarterback if he’s punished by the NFL.

Jenn Sterger’s manager, Phil Reese, said Thursday that his client would like the league to “implement a program” to prevent unwanted advances — similar to those she’s alleging Favre made.

The alleged messages from Favre to Sterger were sent in 2008, the QB’s only season with the Jets.

Reese said Sterger wants the league to discipline Favre before his career ends. “It’s not a money story,” Reese said, adding his client’s goal is some acknowledgment that Favre was in the wrong.

Sterger’s attorney has said the NFL has concluded its investigation and sent the findings to the commissioner’s office and league lawyers for review. The NFL is not commenting on the status of the investigation.

Favre has said this season will be his last. There are four regular-season games remaining. The Vikings (5-7) host the New York Giants this weekend, with Favre’s status uncertain because of a sprained throwing shoulder. He has started 297 straight games, an all-time record.

Reese first commented on the possibility of a lawsuit on “The Dan Patrick Show,” nationally syndicated radio program.

Still don’t understand what if anything was illegal about him sending messages & photos. SHe’s an adult, he’s an adult. Maybe not ethical, but not illegal. Also, if she was employed by the Jets she should be going after Jet’s Management, not Favre for making her wear such revealing clothes and offering massages… hmm..

hey Jenn, can i have your # got a few pics i’d like to send you

IF Favre were to retire before the commision finalizes their ruling, she wouldnt have a leg to stand on. Outside of the team they wouldnt be able to touch him. I too, wonder WHY she waited 2 years to report this unwelcomed advance….ya right, she doesnt want money!

    Shes not ugly, shes fugly!

  • Frivolous Lawsuit

If you advertise the way she did on the field, someone is going to answer that ad. Believe me, she was not advertising tennis shoes! She saw a superstar, advertised her wares and got a nibble. For that he should be pulled, fined or punished? This does not add up. Waiting 2 years doesn’t add up. We are supposed to feel SORRY for her? No, something doesn’t jive…

  • Naughty or Nice

I may have missed something here, but how did Brett get her cell phone number? Nice girls don’t give 40 year old married men their numbers, unless….

She wants Favre to admit wrong because once if that happens, it gives her a feather in her cap to sue the Jets, or NFL for a larger payout. It is all about money. And from what I understand (from other news sources) that they did communicate but it was not unwanted and almost coaxed by her, she knew what she was doing.

  • Frivolous Lawsuit

Jenn is concerned about her career at this point, I understand. Maybe she is not with the Jets anymore. The way she has been flaunting her body, she may want to apply for a “Go-Daddy” position. Maybe then she can sue most of the drivers at the Indy Speedway. I feel for the commissioner on this one. If there is any fines to be paid on this, they should go to Brett’s wife. Jenn is not hurting, obviously. She’s not done pursuing her own interests yet. You’ll see…
