Man Dies After 4-Car Crash In St. Louis County

DULUTH, Minn. (WCCO) -- An 84-year-old man is dead and a 59-year-old woman was injured in a four-car accident in St. Louis County Saturday.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2004 Ford Taurus heading north on Highway 53 at Midway Road went through a red arrow turning left and was hit by a 2009 Honda Ridgeline. The Honda pushed the Taurus into another vehicle, a 1997 Ford Explorer, causing the Explorer to hit a fourth vehicle.

Robert Bullock, of Deer River, Minn. was a passenger in the Ford Taurus and died in the accident. The driver of the vehicle, Sharon Richards, 60, of Remer, Minn. was not injured in the crash.

The only other injury in the fatal accident was to a 59-year-old Joy Leich, of Duluth, Minn., who was treated and released.

The Minnesota State Patrol said the road conditions were wet at the time of the crash.
