Minivan Slams Into Hanging Semi In Wis.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Four Minnesota residents are injured after their minivan slammed into a semi trailer hanging over the edge of an overpass near Mauston.

According to the State Patrol, a semi driver lost control of the truck on the Interstate 90/94 overpass, with the trailer sliding perpendicular to the interstate at about 8 p.m. Tuesday

The minivan slammed into the rear axle housing of the trailer that was hanging over the edge.

The driver, a 40-year-old man, and a 9-year-old boy suffered life threatening injuries, while a 43-year-old woman and 13-year-old girl had non-life threatening injuries. They were from Maple Grove, Minn.

Their conditions were unknown Wednesday morning.

The Capital Times reported the 59-year-old semi-truck driver from Round Lake, Ill. was not injured.
