APPLETON, Wis. (AP) — A Minnesota man accused of posing as a police officer and sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl outside a Wisconsin mall will spend 10 years in prison.
Thirty-six-year-old Jamie Sames of Shakopee was sentenced Wednesday in Outagamie County court.
WLUK-TV reports Sames also was sentenced to 12 years supervision.
The alleged assault happened in March outside the Fox River Mall in Grand Chute.
In October, Sames accepted a plea deal which avoided a jury trial and requires him to register as a sex offender. He pleaded no contest to child enticement and impersonating an officer. In exchange, a sex assault charge was dropped.
