Family Hit Hard By Economy Blessed By 'The Talk'
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (WCCO) -- A Minnetonka family who's been hit hard by the economy got a nice Christmas treat. Steve and Treva Gallagher's story was featured on the new CBS show "The Talk."
Both parents have been out of work and they, along with daughters Katie and Olivia, have had to cut a lot of corners and make a lot of sacrifices.
On "The Talk," the family was presented with a $5,000 shopping spree at Mall of America, including season passes to Nickelodeon Universe and Underwater Adventures Aquarium.
"We feel pretty lucky. So it's a special treat so if we can do this and do unto others in years to come we're going to feel really blessed," said Treva Gallagher.
