Reward Offered For Info. Leading To Arrest Of Armed Robber

COON RAPIDS, Minn. (WCCO) -- Coon Rapids Police are offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for three recent armed robberies.

Police say the three robberies occurred in the southern portion of the city and are alleged to have been committed by the same person.

In all three robberies, the man brandished a knife, according to police.

In the first incident occurred on Dec. 11 at an Express Shell Station, at 430 Coon Rapids Blvd. In that incident, the robber is described as a white man, 5-foot-10 to 5-foot-11, wearing a dark long-sleeved sweatshirt, light colored pants, black gloves and a camo ski mask, only showing his eyes.

The second occurred on Dec. 14 at the same Express gas station. The description of the robber was almost identical to the first incident.

The third robbery occurred on Dec. 27 at Ike's Wine and Spirits, 89 85th Ave. NW. The robber was again described as a white man, 5-foot-10 to 5-foot-11, with a white scruffy beard, approximately 45 years old and wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with white lettering, jeans and black gloves.

The Coon Rapids Crime Prevention Association is offering a reward of $500 in order to help identify the suspect involved in the three robberies.
