POTSDAM, N.Y. (AP) — Justin Fontaine scored two goals and assisted on another to lead Minnesota-Duluth to a 4-1 win over Clarkson on Monday.
Fontaine scored twice in the first period, staking the Bulldogs (13-4-3) to a 2-0 lead at 12:29. He also assisted on Mike Connolly’s second-period goal. Connolly assisted on Fontaine’s second goal.
David Grun netted the last goal for Minnesota-Duluth, which had won just once in its previous five games.
Allan MacPherson scored the only goal for Clarkson (10-6-2), which saw its four-game winning streak come to an end.
Kenny Reiter made 33 saves for the Bulldogs, while Paul Karpowich had 25 saves for Clarkson.
