MN Troops Deploy To Iraq, Kosovo Wednesday
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A group of soldiers will get a chance to say goodbye to family and friends Wednesday before they ship off to help fight the war in Iraq.
About 20 men and women from the 103rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command will be deployed to Iraq and Kosovo. The soldiers will support Operation New Dawn.
A farewell ceremony for the soldiers will take place at 1:30 p.m. at the Army Reserve training center at Fort Snelling.
The 847th has deployed multiple elements to Iraq and Kosovo within the last three years.
