Kevin Williams Named To NFC Pro Bowl Team

EDEN PRAIRIE (WCCO) — Vikings defensive tackle Kevin Williams has been named to the NFC Pro Bowl team, the team announced Friday.

Williams will be replacing injured Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh.

Williams has been recognized as a Pro Bowler six times in his eight-year career. This will be his 5th straight year.

Williams started all 16 games for the Vikings during the 2010 season and finished with 49 tackles, nine tackles-for-loss, seven passes defended, one sack and one forced fumble. According to the team, he has totaled 49.5 sacks in his career, the most among defensive tackles in the NFL since he was drafted in 2003.

He joins running back Adrian Peterson as the second Vikings in the Pro Bowl in Hawaii on Jan. 30.

Let us know when the Vikings sign assistant coaches Josh McDaniel, Mike Singletary and an offensive line coach who’ll light a fire under those big asses on the line of scrimmage. Also go ahead and draft Ryan Mallet despite what the melon heads who don’t even watch college football say-he will be special if he keeps his head screwed on straight! Prediction-when the Vikings sign Josh McDaniel they will also trade for Kyle Orton and things WILL work out!!!!

Changes, changes, worries, worries, BUT never fear..Joe Webb is here! Look for Peterson to draw them left as Webb runs right and vice versa.Draws ,screens, the old Greenbay sweep with Hornig or Taylor,Peterson or Webb ,or Gerhart or Harvin to add some additional spice.Next year does not have to be a lost cause.I suggest it be at least a loss of caution and make them stop us! + pick up c/g Josh Ostrue of St,Thomas after the draft please!

Let us know when Josh McDaniel, Mike Singletary and an aggressive offensive line caoch who’ll make the offensive line offensive and aggressive and not miss blocking assignments sign. Also draft Ryan Mallet he will be terrific, funny how people who don’t watch college football have negative opinions about Mallet. You can also look for Kyle Orton to be signed if Josh McDaniel assumes the offensive coordinaor position. Joe Webb is at least two years from anybody making him a starter.
