MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Minneapolis Public Schools are making up for lost time — due to a few snow days in December.
Officials announced they will hold class on March 11, which was originally scheduled as an off day due to professional development for elementary school staff and parent-teacher conferences for high school staff.
That moves parent-teacher conferences to Feb. 18 for all students pre-Kindergarten to 12th grade. Staff professional development will now take place on May 9.
The schools had snow days on Dec. 13 and 14 of last year. March 11 was designated as a makeup day after a review of the MPS calendar.
