Crashes Shut Down A Part Of I-94 In North Metro

BECKER (WCCO) — Three crashes and vehicle off the road have closed down eastbound Interstate-94 just north of Becker, Minn. Friday afternoon, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

State Patrol spokesman Lt. Eric Roeske says the accidents caused a traffic buildup at I-94 and County Road 8. He says it all happened between 3 p.m. and 3:20 p.m.

At this point, none of the crashes appear to be serious.

There are no indications on how long I-94 will be closed.

I thought the exact same thing when I read this…the freeway is not north of Becker. And yea, I read the north metro part and though maybe near Brooklyn center or maybe Maple Grove, but certainly not a place 53 miles away from Minneapolis!

How long were the passengers on the Northstar line delayed? Or doesn’t it yet go that far north?
