108 Minn. Teachers Up For Teacher Of The Year
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- A panel 23 of community leaders is shifting through a list of 108 nominees for the 2011 Minnesota Teacher of the Year, working toward naming a group of semifinalists.
The state teachers union, Education Minnesota, says 108 teachers have accepted their nominations and completed the required application to become eligible for the annual award.
The names of the nominees are available on the union's web site, www.educationminnesota.org.
The 2011 Teacher of the Year will be announced May 1.
