CAMBRIDGE, Minn. (WCCO) — A school bus carrying approximately 60 children tipped over onto its side in Isanti County Tuesday morning.

According to the county sheriff’s office, the bus was driving along 328th Avenue Northeast near Highway 95. The bus pulled over to the side of the road to make way for an oncoming car and slid into the ditch.

The sheriff’s office said the bus turned on its side while sliding.

None of the students aboard were injured. Another bus came to pick them up and take them to Cambridge Middle School.

    One of the hardest jobs out there. Those drivers have our kids lives in there hands. Lets pay them 10 bucks an hour…Wake up people.

    Greg, 10.00 an hour? Nice try Most school bus drivers start at more than 10.00 an hour. You were right though it is one of the hardest jobs out there. School bus drivers transport our mosr precious cargo, our children. They aren’t paid what they shoukd be, thier job is plum full of responsibilities, put up with the stupidity of those who don’t drive a bus, not many people are willing to drive a school bus and are underappreciated. School bus drivers should make at least 20.00 dollars an hour to start. After all look at what they are responsible for.
