Weather Blog: Wicked Wind

By Chris Shaffer, WCCO-TV

The first concern with the wind is the blowing snow. Many towns picked up 4-8 inches of new snow that will blow with ease across roadways making some icy patches.

Be careful and prepare to shovel again as the snow drifts across your driveway. The other concern with the wind is the "feel factor." Temps will fall below zero early Wednesday morning as the wind stays strong from the northwest.

It could feel like -20 to -40 on exposed skin (frostbite could occur in 10-20 minutes … so be careful). We only warm to about 9 with plenty of sunshine, and then improvement comes our way.

We warm to the upper teens by Thursday with a run at 30 Friday and Saturday. We could see some light snow by the end of the week as well.
