Kevin Love Left Off Western Conference All-Stars

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Kevin Love’s cologne wasn’t enough to sway the Western Conference coaches.

The Minnesota Timberwolves power forward was left off the All-Star team when the reserves were announced on Thursday night.

Love is averaging 21.4 and leads the league with 15.5 rebounds per game. He also had the first 30-point, 30-rebound game in 28 years and is shooting over 43 percent from 3-point range. But all those numbers weren’t enough to offset the Timberwolves’ 11-37 record, which is the worst in the West.

Love has one more chance to make the team if Commissioner David Stern picks him as an alternate to replace the injured Yao Ming.

The Timberwolves sent the coaches in the West a bottle of “Numb(hash)rs” cologne to promote Love for the game.

Wait a minute…Yao Ming makes the all-star team and Kevin Love doesn’t? Are you freakin’ kidding me?! This is exactly why the NBA is a farce when naming players to the supposed “best the league has to offer”. What a joke.

  2. david_stern says:

don, should have voted more for k-love…

haha, but don’t worry, i’ll choose him to replace yao… however, you should be more mad at the coaches, for selecting blake griffin into the game over k-love.

What a JOKE!! K-Love is the man. #1 rebounder in the league, 30-30 game (first in 20 years), consistent double-doubles. Hiim and D Howard are the best big men in the NBA. B. Griffin is up and coming no doubt…but leaving K-Love out? The league is a Joke. Big ups to K-Love, you are an all-star regarldess.

You have to play a complete game even though there is not much defense in an all star game..

  5. Don says:

Wesly…you mean that averaging over 20 points per game in addition to 15+ rebounds isn’t a complete game? Really?
