EDINA, Minn. (WCCO) – Southdale Center is getting some new improvements and renovations, just in time for the holiday shopping season.

Herberger’s is moving into the 135,000 square-foot space of the former Mervyn’s space. The announcement was made Thursday by the Simon Property Group, Inc.

Herberger’s is expected to open in November.

A new six-tenant food court is also being built on the second level of the JCPenney wing. The food court is scheduled to open by the holiday season of 2011.
