Lynx Offer Free Tix To ‘Seatless’ Super Bowl Fans

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Lynx are doing their best to make sure the 400 fans who lost their seats at the Super Bowl are duly compensated.

The WNBA franchise says it will offer those fans two free premium lower-level tickets to their 2011 home opener against the Los Angeles Sparks on June 5. The Lynx also promise “the ultimate red carpet treatment” that includes a message from players, an on-court presentation and concession vouchers.

Lynx COO Conrad Smith says the team takes “the utmost pride in taking care of our customers, going above and beyond to ensure their satisfaction.”

The seat mess has been a big black eye for Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and the NFL. At least two lawsuits have already been filed and officials are scrambling to placate irate fans.

Wow 400 free tickets! That might bring their attendance for the game to 451.

Hmmm…. LAME!!!!! When will the Lynx fold anyways?

Yeah, because going to watch a women’s basketball game really comes close to watching the Super Bowl.

Didn’t even know they had a team.
