ND Woman Sentenced To 18 Years For Drug Conspiracy
FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- A woman known to co-conspirators in a drug ring as "Nurse Betty" has been sentenced to 18 years in prison.
Jodi Richter is charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to deliver a controlled substance. She's one of 15 people charged in the investigation federal authorities dubbed "Operation Budapest."
Authorities say the conspiracy involved more than 500 grams of methamphetamine that was distributed in North Dakota, Minnesota and elsewhere.
Richter faced a maximum sentence of life in prison.
