My thoughts and prayers are with Ashley, her family and the driver of the semi. I could hear his cries and could see how tormented he was just moments after the accident. It is such a tragedy. May God’s peace that passes all understanding be with them all.

I will miss Ashley so much. I’ll never forget that she was the one who taught me how to tie my shoes the bunnie ears way. I don’t know how to tie any other way. She was so full of life and laughter, she will truly be missed.

Something needs to be done with this intersection! There have been too many lives lost trying to cross! My thoughts and prayers are with the Meuwissen family. May Ashley rest in peace.

    1. Tim says:

I agree with Coreena. I used to travel 212 every day, and that intersection is terrible!! Even with the flashing lights, its not enough. There needs to be a stoplight or at least a round about there. I did not know Ashley personally, but she was cousin of my cousins. The family is in my prayers…

Though we did not see it coming, God took an angel Home. Remember Ashley is at her eternal rest in heaven where there is no more pain, sorrow, or tears.
My deepest sympathy goes out, keeping her family in my thoughts and prayers..

Ashley is one of the smiliest and energetic people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. I’ll never forget the time Amber had a slumber party and Ashley came home after a night out, brought a full jug of milk downstairs, and chugged a half gallon like a champ. She was beautiful, free and full of the silliest laughter. My deepest condolences to the Meuwissen family, especially Amber. You guys were two crazy peas in a pod and the epitome of sisterhood. The last time I talked to Ash was in the Crossroads bathroom while you were in Mexico last year and she was gushing to me about you. She was so proud of you and how far you’d come. Keep on going for her, girl.
