Police: 3 Girls Made Up Being Kidnapped, Drugged

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Police are saying three teenage girls made up being kidnapped and drugged in Minneapolis.

On Friday, Minneapolis Police spokesperson Sgt. Bill Palmer says the girls were found by Cub Foods on Lake Street.

The girls were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center and then released.

Palmer says it was determined on Saturday morning that the reports were unfounded and that the community is not at risk.

Why is this article even published? It gives no useful information and they admit the public is NOT at risk. They should have waited until there were more facts to publish — tomorrow! Publishing prematurely is ridiculous!

    1. tiredandretired says:

Yeah, but then you wouldn’t have anything to post about. You’d have to wait until tomorrow. Where’s the fun in that? LOL

    2. There is no pill to rid the world of complainers says:

Not to mention that you will most likely complain on how long it took them to tell the public. You are the type of person that is never pleased.

    3. Sean says:

I agree with, why even publish this story.

    4. Victim Du Jour says:

Because these girls have committed a hate crime, and it shows a mindset.

Were they trying to frame someone?

    5. Victim Du Jour says:

The News reported girls had been kidnapped and drugged.

I am sure people are suppose to know it was lie, and there is no kidnapper on the loose in Minneapolis. It probably makes a few people less worried about a kidnapper.

  2. Cindy says:

You have no facts in this. Thank you for the notification however yet again you give credence to the lack of value to the local news. I have never lived in a city where the news is so “cherry topped”….pathetic.

  3. bubba136 says:

    # girls drugged, but no risk to the public, were they prostitues or drug addicts??? . Why is their no risk ????

    1. Melissa A says:

    2. Melissa A says:

      Great story…………………………………………….where is the news?

  4. swerver says:

They’re hoodrats, therefore we should all be safe because we’re not wandering the ghetto like these rodents

  5. Repeat this again and again says:

at party, ran outta money to buy more nose candy, had no lift so they walked off. no story, another day in the ‘hood. bfd

    SO WHAT WHO CARES !

  7. Matt Munson says:

News flash – 3 teenage girls lied to police while on drugs.

  8. Southsider says:

Minneapolis (particularly the Cub Food/Lake St area) is not all “ghetto” or “hood”. Lots of tax paying, homeowners (like myself) live here. No need to continue to down my neighborhood.

  9. Zingbopper says:

Typical inner city trash. I see the losers are living up to the stereotypes they are famous for. Hence the stereotype.
Get off your backs girls and do something with your lives.

  10. Bob says:

They are probaly white girls from Eden prairie.

  11. Mother says:

I would not care it these girls were yellow, pink or blue, rich or poor. I care more about what they did and why. And what actions were taken against them and or their parents. Not every child would think to do such a thing. In my opinion give them consequence for their action, community service work about 30 hours each. If nothing else they owe the community that much.

    1. john says:

One of them i know and didnt make it up.

  12. Ellen says:

I’m not surprised at all that it was a concocted story! From the first I read it I was suspicious that they had been up to no good and then fabricated a story thinking it would keep them out of trouble. I agree with mother that they should get community service for false reporting.

  13. smitty says:

it s dosen’t matter what color they are they should be taught a lesson make them set in a jail cell for 24 hr’s and treat them like criminals and maybe they will learn a valuable lesson

  14. Serpico says:

Yes, yes, yes, charge those who falsely report crimes!!! ________________________________________________________________________________
Here is the story of a MINNEAPOLIS POLICE OFFICER who falsely reported a crime and put an innocent woman in jail. Video proves clearly and undeniably that the officer lied, and yet he has not faced charges or even discipline:
