Woman, 20, Sentenced To 1 Year For Fatal Hit-And-Run

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Plymouth woman started serving her jail sentence Friday for a hit-and-run accident that killed a father of three.

Taylor Rose Hohmann, 20, pleaded guilty to criminal vehicular homicide. Hohmann will serve one year in jail and will then be on probation for 5 years.

On March 20, 2010, she was driving along West Broadway in Crystal when she hit Mike Rymer with her SUV and left the scene. Rymer was killed. Hohmann told police she thought she had hit a pothole.

Rymer was the father of three girls.

If Hohmann fails to comply with the conditions set out for her (i.e no alcohol, violations, etc.), she is subject to the 48 months of her sentence that has been stayed for the probationary period.
