MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Minneapolis has lifted the winter parking restrictions, which limited parking to one side of most neighborhood streets to create better access for emergency vehicles.
The parking restrictions went into effect on Dec. 17 after the snow narrowed several Minneapolis streets.
Thanks to warmer temperatures, most of that snow has now melted.
Normal parking rules apply. Signs that limited parking to one side will be removed, but drivers should continue to follow the posted signs as long as they are in place.
It is possible to have additional snow emergencies declared until April 1, per city ordinance.
