Group Wants Minnesota Back On Tap ... Water
ST. PAUL (WCCO) -- On World Water Day, some people want Minnesota to get off the bottle -- the water bottle.
A group called Corporate Accountability International says Minnesota is spending half a million dollars a year on bottled water.
The group asked State Sen. John Marty (DFL-Roseville) to compare tap water to bottled water in a blind taste test. Marty could not taste the difference.
Bottled water opponents say that having state agencies buy bottled water sends the wrong message about St. Paul's tap water, which they say is just fine.
