Passenger Ejected In 2-Car Crash

MELROSE, Minn. (WCCO) — A 20-year-old Sauk Centre woman was ejected after a two-car collision in Melrose Township Friday morning.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened at about 7:30 a.m. along County Road 65.

A driver was apparently backing out of a driveway when another vehicle traveling along CR 65 ran into the first car.

There were three other passengers in the car that was struck exiting the driveway. One of them, identified as Kayla Lentz, was ejected from the vehicle. She was the only one not wearing a seat belt.

All four from that car were taken to Melrose Hospital. Their conditions were not known.

The driver of the first car was treated at the scene.

A PLEA from a mother,Please kids BUCKLE UP!!!!!
When we as parents brought you home from the hospital, you were in a car seat, otherwise the hospital would not let you come home. Every time after that you were to be buckled up in a car seat. When you got older the car seat was replaced with the booster seat. Finally big boys and girls, you just needed the seat belt. You never get to old to buckle up! IT COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE, and spare your love ones the saddness that would come with your DEATH.
