Trooper Squad Car Hit From Behind During Traffic Stop
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A state trooper received minor injuries when his squad car was struck by a van. It happened around 8 p.m. Saturday evening on Interstate 94 near 42nd Avenue in north Minneapolis.
"A driver of a van plowed into the back end of his squad car pushing him into the car he had pulled over," said Capt. Matt Langer, of the State Patrol.

Both the trooper and the driver of the van suffered injuries. The trooper was treated for bumps and bruises and the van driver is hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
"We're now looking strongly at this potentially being a medical situation," said Langer.
The van driver was unconscious for a time after the collision.
